Please always install the latest firmware onto the wheel base with use of the PC driver. This is the PlayStation™ version of the CSL Elite Wheel Base (and the wheel base featured in the "CSL Elite Racing Wheel - officially licensed for PlayStation™"). This list is only for the "CSL Elite Wheel Base +" This does not necessarily mean that all features are present/available in every simulation. Games CAN use our extended features (like display, rev-leds, vibrations, handbrake, etc.) if they are included by the game developers. The SDK will be provided by Fanatec to every game/simulation developer.
New games should have built our official licensed PS4 SDK into the game to make it possible using standard PS4™ mode (blue LED) directly. In most cases the game will ask for pressing the "x" Button. In yellow mode ( * ) it might be necessary that you start the game using your gamepad/controller and then confirm the wheel as your input device with a button press at the launch screen of the game.
Set the wheel into this mode at the dashboard of the Playstation 4 and start the game by the controls on the wheel. * The wheel has to be set into compatibility mode (engage by long pressing the mode button) to play the game. Thanks for taking the time to post your experience with this, we really appreciate it.The following PlayStation 4™ games / simulations are compatible with the CSL Elite Wheel Base + - officially licensed for PlayStation™" combined with any PS4™ system (the following games should also function the same on PS5™, but they are not fully tested at this time): The right answer would be for the devs to have had this working months ago in alpha, but maybe we can help each other a bit more as well if we just post what has worked for us. Reading through the threads you'll soon realize that "xxx is not officially supported" is the token response. Listen, there are tons of us who want to play this game with our wheels. See if you get similar or different results to what I've been seeing. I've been alt-tabbing to steam or the Logitech profiler, but it doesn't seem to matter. Regardless, even at it's best, the feeling is still pretty bad compared to The Crew 1 or pretty much any other game that works with the G29, but maybe try alt-tabbing.
It's odd to say this because it seems like nonsense, but while I am just free driving this almost sort of works, though annoying, but I noticed that if I do the same thing before a race, it returns to that difficult-to-turn feeling much quicker, as in after a few turns. The wheel becomes very difficult to turn, just like as if I had just turned on 100% FFB in the settings and never alt-tabbed. At 15 minutes, maybe less, it is back to the yanking-on-the-wheel thing. I know that sounds nuts but I keep doing it and it keeps feeling like that, like the FFB is gradually increasing after each alt-tab reset.Īnyway, as I continue to play, the odd side effect that you note gradually increases.
And then as I continue to drive I almost feel like I hit a sweet spot where everything is almost not-terrible. The wheel is easy to turn just like it should be, but hitting walls and such actually gives a tiny bit of FFB, not as much as it should, but some.
If I first set the FFB to max in-game, then alt-tab out of the game while running and then alt-tab back into the game, for just a short time, maybe five, ten minutes, it almost feels ok. This is really weird and may sound a bit nuts, but at the recommendation of another post I tried this. Been mucking around with it on and off for a few days.
